FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CANCELLATION OF APPOINTMENT
Appointments have to be canceled 48 hours in advance. Should you fail to do so, I will have to charge you for the session. To cancel, send an email, leave a message or simply send a short text.
In case I can not keep our appointment, I will also let you know at least 48 hours in advance. Should I have to cancel on short notice (less than 48 hours in advance) I will offer you another session free of charge.
QUANTITIY AND FREQUENCY OF SESSIONS
When starting therapy, it is not possible to predict the number of sessions needed to solve the issue troubling you. Sometimes ten sessions can suffice, in other cases a process of more than 100 hours of therapeutical work is necessary.
In the very beginning, we shall talk about your concerns and goals for a psychotherapy. From this we shall derive a reasonable guess as to how many sessions might be needed. Within this framework, it will always be you who shall determine the end of our work at any given point in time.
INITIAL SESSION AND FEE STRUCTURE
By getting to know one another in our initial session, we shall set the tone and direction for our work, we shall be discussing your motivation for a therapy, we shall be setting initial topics you would like to focus on. And finally we shall be talking about basic parameters such as fee structure, frequency of sessions, setting etc. Usually this takes a double session to accomplish.
Initial session (ca. 90 min) 140 Euros. The fee structure for the following sessions is based on your income.
On average my current fee per 50 minute session is 70 Euros.
You can pay cash or by bank transfer.

In case we find out that we are not a good match and that I will not be able to help you with your problem, I am more than happy to refer you to a colleague specializing in your issues.
INSURANCE RECOMPENSATION
My current status (In Ausbildung unter Supervision) is not eligible for insurance recompensation.

SETTINGS
In addition to the plethora of settings within Systemic Family Therapy (single, couple, group…), I use Systemic Constellation work according to Insa Sparrer and Mathias Varga von Kibéd. This technique is a group simulation process which has shown great success in private and business contexts answering all kinds of questions and treating various problems.

I would like to clearly differentiate my work from Bert Hellinger’s way of Family Reconstruction (Familienaufstellungen nach Bert Hellinger).
CONFIDENTIALITY
The therapeutical relation between client and therapist is the pivotal factor in any successful psychotherapeutical treatment. Thus, it is clearly regulated in the Psychotherapy Law (Psychotherapiegesetz (BGBI.Nr 361/1990).
I am committed to confidentiality and discretion towards you. Therefore, I shall never disclose any information from our sessions to third parties without your prior consent. Not even to your relatives or representatives of other health professions involved in your treatment. Exceptions to these rules (in case of danger to yourself or others) are regulated in the above law.
As a psychotherapist, I am also obliged to keep minutes of our work and to store these for another ten years starting from the date we ended the therapy. You are entitled to see them if you with to do so.
